1 ⁄2 cup fresh or frozen (thawed overnight in the refrigerator) cranberries

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 ⁄4 teaspoon nutmeg

1 ⁄8 teaspoon ground cloves

1 ⁄2 teaspoon salt

3 tablespoons whole-wheat pastry flour

2 tablespoons agave, brown rice, or maple syrup

1 cup apple cider

1 teaspoon orange peel

2 tablespoons vegan margarine
